Job Summary and Responsibilities

This is a part time, 20 hour per week position at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska. We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Clinical Nurse Educator to promote excellence in clinical nursing practice and support the professional growth and development of nursing staff. Serving as a frontline nurse leader, this role plays a key part in advancing clinical education, competency development, and evidence-based practice in alignment with the CHI Health Nursing Strategic Plan and Vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing education and professional development programs in alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Serve as a role model, clinical expert, mentor, and change agent for nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Consult on organizational and system initiatives related to nursing practice, education, and program development.
  • Integrate evidence-based practice into educational initiatives and clinical leadership activities.
  • Provide expertise and support for quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcomes.
  • Support transitions to practice and ongoing professional development, including onboarding, orientation, nurse residency, fellowships, competency validation, preceptor development, and mentorship programs.
  • Develop and maintain educational resources and tools grounded in adult learning theory and organizational development principles.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership.

Job Requirements

Required

Education and Experience:

BSN required. MSN or completion of MSN program within 5 years of start date.

Required Licensure and

Certifications:

Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
