Responsibilities
As an RN on our campus float team at Good Samaritan Hospital, now part of Common Spirit Health, you will bring your clinical expertise to provide exceptional patient care across multiple units. Your success in this role comes from your knowledge to provide care to various disease processes in a variety of situations ranging from minor to critical while remaining calm and positive.
- Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs
- Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
- Administering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ orders
- Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
Compensation: Base rate + shift differential
Incentives: up to $10,000 sign-on bonus, up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years)
Nurse Residency: offered for all New Graduates. (Nurse Residency information available through CHI Health programs)
Qualifications- Graduate of an RN nursing program.
- Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska or nurse licensure compact.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) through American Heart Association is required upon hire.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required within 5 months of hire.
- Other credentials may be needed based on the level of care RN floated to.

Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Nebraska. It offers an advanced level trauma center, Air Care emergency helicopter transport, and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service, along with services in cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, an advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at the free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
