Job Responsibilities
Monitor and review work orders and incoming requests. Work with dispatcher on assigning work orders. Assess and specify parts and materials needed for procurement. Follow up and monitor workload performance with technicians. Coordinate with contractors on estimates and completion of work in house. Complete ILSM permits for contractors and maintenance work. Assist in safety checks, ISLMs, egress, construction rounds, life safety inspections, training and fire drills.
Assist in maintaining the physical structure and associated equipment of the facility in good repair. Perform minor maintenance and repairs as primary duties. Assist the Facilities Department with plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance. Participate in performance improvement (PI) activities.
- Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Facilities Department.
- Keep work order load distributed to technicians within the computer maintenance management system.
- Follow up on work completion to keep the work order backlog to a minimum.
- Maintain regulatory requirements by becoming knowledgeable and understanding the code books affiliated with the medical facilities.
- Work with contractors on estimates and the performance of work completed by contractor to insure there is no unexpected downtime to KRMC campus due to the contractor.
- Work with contractors on ISLMs and insure that contractor is following the ISLM to minimize any infection control issues.
- Perform urgent corrective routine and requisitioned repairs of minor problems with the electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as required. Notify manager if major repairs are required.
- Perform maintenance duties on all physical structures of the facility and comply with all building safety codes, including facility equipment and associated controls.
- Assist in replacing, repairing and testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances and lighting systems as required.
- Maintain routine records of all inspections and maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system within our computer maintenance management system.
- Perform manual duties as requested (i.e., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash or scrap material).
- Assist with minor snow removal.
- Shared on call status with the facilities team for trouble calls on a rotating basis after hours.
- Accept any other duties that may be assigned by the Facilities Manager.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Prefer 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
