Qualifications- Master’s Degree in Education is required.
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Nebraska Department of Education Administrative Certificate with a 7‑12 Principal endorsement.
- Prior administrative experience in an educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, technology integration, staff supervision and evaluation, student discipline policies, school laws, and community relations.
- Provide direction for the Assistant Principal, staff, and students.
- Implement and supervise an effective instructional program.
- Establish building goals and objectives, oversee curriculum development, staff in‑service, and annual budget.
- Supervise the development of the master schedule and conduct staff evaluations.
- Monitor and recommend improvements to building and grounds facilities to B&G.
- Project future educational needs and expectations.
- Maintain effective oral and written communication with all stakeholders.
- Plan and provide for the personal needs of students and staff.
- Serve on school‑based, community‑based, and district‑wide committees.
- Implement building goals, district policies, staff selection, training, and evaluation.
- Modify instruction to meet student needs with assistance from appropriate directors and supervisors.
- Conduct marketing of educational programs.
- Counsel staff, students, and parents.
- Provide a safe and appropriate learning environment.
- Act as a positive school representative when interacting with the media.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
- Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, climbing, and driving as necessary.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Carrying up to 200 lbs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated stress management and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to work well on various teams.
- Ability to work effectively with children and adults.
Heated/air‑conditioned offices and buildings; all weather conditions.
