Picture delivering critical care with the warmth of island hospitality, while you savor the unique rhythm of island life during your downtime.

The Big Island’s breathtaking landscapes—from lush coffee fields to clear turquoise waters and volcanic wonders—offer a backdrop that fuels resilience, inspiration, and renewed purpose as you provide urgent care to a diverse patient population, including residents and travelers seeking immediate attention. Location

Benefits

Kealakekua sits on Hawaii’s storied Kona coast, renowned for its pristine beaches, abundant marine life, and communities that celebrate culture, nature, and wellness. Working here means you’ll experience safer commutes, shorter travel times within the area, and an environment where teamwork and mutual support are paramount. Beyond the hospital walls, you’ll have access to island adventures—snorkeling with manta rays, sunset cruises, hiking along volcanic trails, and farm‑to‑table cuisine that highlights locally grown flavors.

For nurses who crave broader horizons, there’s also the opportunity to work in additional locations across the United States through the same network, enabling you to cultivate a diverse ER portfolio while enjoying the benefits of travel nursing. You’ll join a community that values balance, continuous learning, and the chance to grow both professionally and personally as you explore new places, patient populations, and clinical challenges.

Role

Specifics and Benefits

As an ER Registered Nurse, you’ll triage and rapidly assess patients presenting with a wide range of medical and traumatic conditions. Your duties will include initiating and coordinating rapid stabilization, administering medications with precision, performing advanced bedside procedures, monitoring vital signs and telemetry, and collaborating with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and ancillary teams to deliver comprehensive care. You’ll contribute to evidence‑based protocols, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, and actively engage in quality improvement initiatives that elevate patient outcomes.

There is ample room for professional growth within pediatric, adult, trauma, and high‑acuity care tracks, with opportunities for specialized certifications, leadership development, and cross‑training to enhance your proficiency in airway management, resuscitation, and rapid response.
