ABOUTTHE ROLE
As an Entry‑Level Electrical Engineer/Developer, you'll work with a team of experienced engineers to design, test, and optimize Monnit's sensors, gateways, and communication modules. You'll gain practical experience across the full development cycle—from concept and prototyping to testing and production support.
ResponsibilitiesYou will contribute to:
- Firmware testing and validation for new and existing Monnit products
- Hardware characterization and troubleshooting
, ensuring reliable sensor performance - Collaborating on schematic design reviews and assisting in PCB layout and verification
- Implementing firmware updates and testing new features in C, C#, or Python
- Participating in daily team planning meetings and sprint reviews
This position provides strong exposure to IoT device development

Monnit provides on‑the‑job training for our products, tools, and development processes. Candidates should bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- 1+ years of hands‑on experience through internships, senior projects, or lab work
- Working knowledge of:
- Firmware development: C, C#, Python, or Java Script
- Hardware design: schematic capture and PCB layout (KiCad experience preferred)
- Debugging tools: oscilloscopes, multimeters, or logic analyzers
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical ideas clearly
