The Reliability Engineer has overall responsibility for the engineering needs of the Utilities and Pulp areas, which includes managing maintenance and capital projects and developing department reliability improvement plans primarily revolving around steam related equipment such as boilers, turbines and other pressure vessels. The Mechanical Engineer will identify process and mechanical reliability areas of opportunity, implement creative solutions, support inspection activities, and manage projects, as well as develop overall long-term capital plans and support Operations.
Responsibilities
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years' experience in reliability function, internships/co-ops included
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical engineering and maintenance reliability support in a manufacturing operation, including internships/co-ops
- Direct experience in pulp and paper mill operations preferred
- Solid general knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance methods
- Experienced with use of CMMS systems, JD Edwards preferred
- Demonstrated proven reliability management skills and a proven ability to lead capital improvement projects from inception to conclusion
- Experienced in use of various Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods, weld repair procedures, and boiler inspection requirements
- Proven reliability improvement results with a history of continuous improvement
- Strong communication and leadership skills
