EFC Route Driver

Job Description

Our eCommerce Fulfillment Centers (eFC) are centralized spaces that help fulfill both Curbside Pickup and Home Delivery orders–keeping the great H-E-B Customer experience from beginning to end.

As an H-E-B eFulfillment Center Route Driver, you will drive an H-E-B vehicle to deliver and unload Customer orders from the eFulfillment Center to H-E-B eStores. You’ll make sure that merchandise arrives to the store in a safe and timely manner so that our customers can receive their orders accurately, damage-free, and on time. You’ll also help monitor the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.

• Gather appropriate paperwork for deliveries; use the manifest to ensure the most efficient delivery route and schedule.
• Complete and document vehicle inspection per requirements (pre‑ and post‑trip).
• Be responsible for the content, condition, and securing of cargo/product within the truck for delivery.
• Deliver product to store locations accurately, safely, and on time.
• Unload customer orders at store locations.
• Adhere to traffic and safety laws and H‑E‑B policies.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness; report maintenance problems.
• Return reusable items.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license for 3+ years (CDL not required).
• Minimum age 21 (mandatory).
• Excellent driving record.
• No suspended or revoked driver’s licenses, permits, or privileges in any state or county (mandatory).
• No moving violations or preventable accidents in the past three years.
• No DWI, DUI, or related convictions.
• No felony convictions.
• Pass a background screening and Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check at time of entry and on a periodic basis.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Ability to read and follow a road map.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Ability to meet company and regulatory driving record requirements.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong customer service orientation.

• Unload delivery vehicles.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 55 lbs.
• Work in varying weather and traffic conditions, exposed to hot, wet, cold, and other weather conditions.
• Work extended shifts and fluctuating hours/days based on business needs, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Complete required training as needed.
