Software Engineer- Quality Control

Role Context

Demonstrated expert understanding of software industry best practices in Software Quality Assurance as well as the Software Development Life Cycle using Agile and other lean methodologies.

• Expertise with database testing. Demonstrated ability to write SQL queries and scripts.
• Expertise with development and testing in the Microsoft .Net architecture and toolset.
• Ability to design and implement automated coded tests (unit, integration and system).
• Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies (i.e. XP, SCRUM).

• Responsible to interact with the Business Analysts and the teammates for better understanding of the business requirements.
• Configuring smoke suite with VSTS CI/CD process and integration with application release pipeline for performing no-touch smoke testing of application.
• Understanding the business requirements and assigning to the team members as per their capabilities.
• Closely interacted with Business Analysts and software developers to understand application functionality and navigational flow.
• Coordinating with the Development team for defect analysis.
• Interacting with business analysts in resolving the problems.
• Responsible for weekly status meetings showing progress and future testing efforts.
• Conducted and attended meetings with fellow team members.
• Conducting trainings within and across the teams and also conducting KT sessions.
• Assigning work related to updating existing Test Cases against the change of requirements and mentoring & providing directions to the team members.
• Planning and tracking to meet the deliverables against timelines.
• Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
• Executing tests on software usability.
• Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
• Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
• Interacting with clients to understand product requirements.
• Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
• Education:
  
  Masters or Bachelors degree in Technology or Computer Science.
