As the Assistant Produce Manager, you help customers make healthy food choices by providing excellent customer service through leading one of the busiest teams in the store.

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
• Maintain freshness standards by receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, displaying, and rotating a complete variety of items
• Assist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the best customer experience
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Produce team
• Unload and sort deliveries, operate and maintain produce equipment
• Ensure execution of company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and verify that team members follow these procedures

To be an Assistant Produce Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market you must:

• Be at least 18 years old and have a basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures
• Be dependable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor and a positive attitude with the ability to interact with customers
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas
• Adhere to all safety, health, weights and measures regulations, including COOL, and obtain/maintain a Food Handlers permit
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift/move heavy objects up to 50 lbs. for extended periods
• Be able to use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 20 feet
