• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to customers, clients and employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated oral or written instructions.
• Regularly lift or move up to 25 lb, frequently up to 45 lb, and occasionally up to 60 lb.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.

Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, and performing cash register operations. The role requires sustained bending, standing and stooping, and proficiency in timely cash handling.
