ALL ABOUT STYLE: A team of consultants who meet guests where they are and deliver through strong operations, guest experience, and visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket. A Style Consultant is passionate about operations and providing an incredible guest experience with in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery. Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests’ needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room, ensuring the floor is stocked with the right product, accurately priced and signed on the salesfloor with the right sizes, styles, and colors.

At Target, we believe in meaningful experiences that help team members build and develop skills for a career. The role of a Style Consultant provides skills and experiences in guest service fundamentals, retail business fundamentals, industry trends, and merchandising.

• Drive sales and maintain a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings to assist guests as needed.
• Use store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and to support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization to support replenishment and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price changes and signings during clearance merchandising.
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests.
• Support fulfillment by returning merchandise from fitting rooms and guest services to the sales floor throughout the day.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU) and Drive-Up (DU) while maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and helping solve their needs; thank guests for shopping with Target.
• Other duties as needed based on business needs.

• You enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and fellow team members.

• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times).

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate scanners and other technology as directed.
• Effective communication skills; ability to work independently and with a team; resolve guest questions quickly.
• Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established time frames.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders; scan, handle, and move merchandise safely (lifting up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally).
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, including Drive-Up and carryout duties.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
