Licensed Vocational Nurse TCP Cinco Ranch

We are searching for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) TCP Cinco Ranch-- someone to gather information, assess and provide direct care to patients. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to render age-appropriate care.

Qualifications:

* High school graduate, GED, or equivalent

* Diploma or Certificate from a school of vocational nursing OR Documentation from the Texas Board of Nursing verifying an exception to the requirement for a diploma from a school of vocational nursing

* Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) by the State of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or Compact

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Heart Association

* Knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment

* Knowledge of related OSHA and CLIA/COLA guidelines and requirements, general office tasks, confidentiality and filing system

* Proficiency with treatments such as nebulizer, ear irrigation and dressing changes

Responsibilities:

* Assists with the collection of patient/family data

* Provides general patient care

* Administers medication and immunizations

* Supports patient/families in self-management of their health through assisting with education

* Triages patients

* Coordinates referrals

* Collects specimens and performs laboratory test

* Demonstrates Creating SMILES and AIDET philosophies to patients, families, and co-workers

* Acknowledges the customer

* Identifies self

* Gives customer a time expectation

* Keeps customers informed by explaining all tasks, processes and procedures

* Thank the customer

* Adheres to Standards of Behavior

* Tasks are measured by observation of evaluator
