Role Overview

The HIMS Service Clerk plays a vital role in supporting hospital staff and leadership with essential data management tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Data entry and accurate maintenance of patient records, charts, and files.
• Assisting the HIMS Supervisor with chart research and FIM score calculations.
• Maintaining logs and records in line with Medical Records Department procedures.

Depending on the location, you may work in a 30–200 bed acute care rehab hospital alongside a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, pharmacists, and licensed assistants. Our goal is to return patients to the highest level of functioning possible, and an average of 80% of our patients return home.
