Position Summary: Produces radiographs of various portions of the body according to physician's request.
Position
Key Accountabilities:
Essential Functions include:
- Develops radiographs using an automatic processor and checks for desired results.
- Prepares patients' films for interpretation by radiologist.
- Maintains quality assurance on all radiological equipment.
- Prepares patient for radiographic procedures.
- Assists in the accurate timing and positioning techniques.
- Maintains and files radiology procedure paperwork.
- Maintains inventory supplies and coordinates student/patient room assignments in clinic.
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
Certification/
Skills:
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by the Texas Medical Board required
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required
Minimum Education: Graduate from an approved two-year program in Radiologic technology required.
Minimum Experience: None.
Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
