Land Planning Internship - Summer

As part of the Quiddity Internship Program, the Planning Intern will provide support on multiple platting projects contributing to the design and planning of mater planned residential communities, commercial and site development projects. As part of our team, you will learn leadership skills from experienced planners who will provide both mentorship and guidance. You will be challenged daily and have the opportunity to demonstrate your potential and apply your skills to real-world design work.

• Support subdivision platting efforts under the direction of experienced planners contributing to preliminary, final and recorded plats.
• Prepare and revise subdivision plats using AutoCAD Civil 3D in compliance with municipal standards and subdivision regulations.
• Perform project research and assist with detailed review of subdivision ordinances and development standards.
• Assist in compiling and submitting complete plat submittal packages for reviewing agencies.
• Generate address maps for multiple subdivisions.
• Create GIS shape files for subdivision plats to support plat submittals and recordation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comments from reviewing agencies are addressed.
• Apply quality control and quality assurance procedures in accordance with the Quality Management Plan (QMP).
• Attend Planning and Zoning Commission meetings to support project review and approvals.
• Perform additional technical and administrative duties as assigned.

• Currently enrolled in an Urban Planning Bachelor’s degree program.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of planning.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of research and data collection.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across technical drawings and documentation.
• Ability to manage deliverables and deadlines within fast-paced project schedules.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks on concurrent projects.
• Communication Skills— Listens well, clarifies information and conveys information successfully.
• Self-motivated and strong learning mindset.
