Acquisitions Analyst

The Acquisitions Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the evaluation, underwriting, and execution of mineral and royalty acquisitions, with a heavy emphasis on Excel-based analysis, deal flow management, and data integrity. This role works closely with the Acquisitions team to evaluate incoming deals, support offer generation, and monitor market and operational activity that impacts valuation.

• Prepare detailed Excel evaluation spreadsheets for incoming acquisition opportunities
• Pull and review recorded preliminary title documents
• Set up wells for PDP evaluation in ARIES
• Communicate findings, risks, and questions clearly to the Acquisitions Officer (AO) and CK
• Set up and maintain deal records in Hub Spot

• Manage annual tax roll processing
• Manage delivery and organization of Tracts PRB ownership data
• Process offer generation data in preparation for mail merge
• Coordinate offer mailings with Jenero
• Maintain and manage mailing and office supply inventory

• Perform weekly Hub Spot data downloads and reporting
• Perform weekly Tracts AOI data downloads
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of internal datasets used for valuation and outreach

• Monitor nurturing deals for activity that could impact valuation, including:
• New drilling permits
• Changes in area pricing or market conditions
• Communicate relevant updates to the Acquisitions team

• Assist with building and maintaining the lead database by researching preliminary title
• Enter and update ownership and title data in Tracts

• Assist with maintaining the internal well database
• Provide weekly permit tracking updates
• Support engineering team members with data organization and analysis

• Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, formulas, spreadsheets, and organization)
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with or ability to quickly learn:
• Hub Spot
• Tracts
• ARIES (preferred but not required)

• Experience in oil & gas, minerals, royalties, or energy-related acquisitions
• Familiarity with PRB assets and title concepts is a plus
• Analytical mindset with a strong interest in deal evaluation and valuation
