Job SummaryWe are seeking a Director of Sales & Business Development to lead and execute CoreHR’s go-to-market strategy. This role is responsible for building our sales pipeline, converting early customers, developing referral partnerships, and shaping the long-term revenue engine of the company. The position is structured as a senior leadership role with both fixed compensation and long-term partnership-level incentives. This is a hands‑on, entrepreneurial role ideal for someone who thrives in early‑stage environments, enjoys building relationships with business owners, and wants to directly influence the growth trajectory of a company.
Key Responsibilities- Own and execute CoreHR’s sales strategy targeting small businesses (generally Founder–25 employees).
- Generate new business through outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow‑up, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
- Conduct discovery calls, needs assessments, and solution presentations tailored to small business owners and founders.
- Close PEO agreements and manage prospects through onboarding coordination with internal teams.
- Develop and maintain referral relationships with insurance brokers, 401(k) providers, small business CPAs, payroll providers, and other trusted advisors to small businesses.
- Represent CoreHR at industry events, small business expos, networking forums, and community organizations.
- Identify new market segments, vertical opportunities, and geographic expansion strategies aligned with CoreHR’s growth plan.
- Serve as the foundation for CoreHR’s future sales organization, with the opportunity for continued growth and possible senior leadership role as the company scales.
- Provide input on compensation structures, pricing models, and long‑term growth strategy.
- Help define hiring needs and mentor future sales or business development hires as revenue grows.
