Come lead with us at Houston Methodist Continuing Care Hospital. The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for facilitating (gathering, trending, reporting, monitoring, analyzing) data and analytics, and leading various data‑driven initiatives pertinent to the revenue cycle. The role acts as a bridge between the client, stakeholders, and the assigned team, and is assigned to projects of intermediate complexity and scope. The analyst identifies the business needs of clients and stakeholders to optimize reimbursement and produces, analyzes, validates, and documents business, organizational, and operational requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business administration, finance, healthcare administration, or related discipline) or four years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Three years of experience supporting revenue cycle functions.

Essential Functions
  • Bridge communication channels between the department, the Business Office, the Single Billing Office (SBO), and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with operations teams to identify and eliminate barriers to account resolution that impact optimal reimbursement.
  • Engage customers and act as a liaison between operations and the technical team; develop business intelligence, document business cases, and coordinate team members.
  • Participate as a revenue cycle subject matter expert in initiatives; gather and assimilate data, providing insights to leaders, committees, and task forces.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and distributing ad‑hoc reports and financial models.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and variances for optimal reimbursement; communicate findings effectively.
  • Extract data, develop and present logical and comprehensive analyses and summaries on key metrics; identify trends, present opportunities, prioritize initiatives for performance improvement.
  • Perform required testing and quality assurance to ensure solutions are defect free and high quality.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity; collaborate across the organization for consistency.
  • Support financial strategy and analysis activities, including business analysis, financial metrics, and project management.
  • Utilize resources effectively, practice good time management, and recommend cost‑saving solutions.
  • Seek new technologies and innovations that guide improvement opportunities.
  • Stay current on revenue cycle and industry trends; pursue personal and professional development.
