Entry Level Telecommunications Technician

About the Role
We're looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Drop Installer. What You'll Do

As an Entry-Level Drop Installer, your day-to-day work will include:

• Installing and setting up internet, TV, and phone services for customers
• Running aerial and underground cable to connect homes and businesses
• Helping install infrastructure such as pedestals, handholes, and small vaults
• Labeling and marking cables so everything stays traceable and organized
• Assisting with fiber optic work-including basic splicing and repairs over time
• Performing general construction tasks like digging, trenching, or pulling cable
• Testing signal quality and troubleshooting service issues
• Cleaning up and restoring the worksite once a job is finished
• Keeping tools and equipment clean, safe, and ready to use
• Completing simple paperwork to document installs and repairs
• Supporting experienced installers and learning from experienced team members
• Following all OSHA, NESC, and company safety guidelines
• Providing friendly, helpful customer service and answering customer questions
• Performing other tasks as needed to support the team

What You Bring

Technical Aptitude

• Basic understanding of tools, equipment, and how things work
• Interest in telecommunications, cable, or fiber optics
• Willingness to learn how to troubleshoot and diagnose issues

Safety Mindset

• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments, heights, confined spaces, and various weather conditions

Physical Ability

• Able to lift 50-80 lbs
• Comfortable climbing, bending, digging, and working in tight spaces

Customer Service Skills

• Friendly and professional communication
• Patience when explaining services or equipment to customers

Problem-Solving Skills

• Ability to think through issues and find practical solutions

Dependability

• Reliable, organized, and able to manage tasks independently
• Willing to work on-call, weekends, or holidays when needed

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $47840.00/yr.
