Overview
As a Pest Control Sanitarian, you will be responsible for overseeing inspections to ensure distribution facilities remain pest-free and compliant with health and safety standards. You will audit work processes and closely observe team members during their tasks, assessing any associated health and safety risks. If any issues are identified, you will promptly take corrective measures to eliminate pest threats. Additionally, you will develop and implement proactive pest control strategies and provide training on pest prevention techniques to ensure ongoing compliance and protect the facility.
Scheduleand compensation
- Working 5am to 2pm Monday to Friday – open availability as needed
- Starting compensation: $26.29 per hour (may be subject to change)
- Evaluate coolers, storage spaces, workstations, communal areas, and equipment for potential threats to health, safety, or pest control, and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Conduct inspections on products in storage and in transit within the distribution facilities to uphold food safety and product quality standards. Evaluate product handling and storage procedures to ensure safety, sanitation, and pest control.
- Maintain records of pest inspections and testing in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards for product safety.
- Initiate performance discussions with team members and supervisors to ensure product safety, healthy working conditions, and pest control measures; take corrective action to enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
- Provide support to all departments with proper sanitation practices, as necessary.
- Operate forklifts and/or pallet jacks, as required.

- Specialized Knowledge:
Work experience in product safety, hazmat compliance, health inspections and quality assurance. - Special
Skills:
Self-directed with a high sense of urgency; strong problem-solving and resourcefulness. - Physical abilities:
Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, walking; ability to lift 1–60 lbs; exposure to varying heights. - Experience:
2–5 years in product safety, hazmat compliance, health inspections and quality assurance.
