This position is located within a Title III funded grant program, Wailau Ola Pathway (WOP) in the Office of the Chancellor at the University of Hawai'i - West O'ahu campus. Position serves as a key member of the project team who works collaboratively with others to design and deliver educational experiences, aimed to foster awareness of college opportunities, encourage entry to post‑secondary education, promote attainment of educational objectives, facilitate persistence toward graduation, and realize academic success.
In the process of matriculation, Native Hawaiian students, faculty, and staff will advance their linguistic, cultural, historical, political, socio‑emotional, and spiritual knowledge and skills.

- * Assists in planning, organizing, coordinating and implementing of activities, programs, and services designed to increase college‑going rates for Native Hawaiians.
- * Designs, implements, and evaluates educational experiences, opportunities, and activities that foster Native Hawaiian individuals’ awareness of college opportunities and encourage their entry to post‑secondary education.
- * Crafts and delivers educational programs that promote Native Hawaiian confidence in their attainment of college education objectives and academic success using culturally relevant methods and approaches.
- * Develops, executes, and evaluates support strategies and educational initiatives that facilitate Native Hawaiian students’ persistence toward degree completion and graduation.
- * Facilitates gatherings for evaluation and input to improve initiatives and events that promote Native Hawaiian college entry, persistence, learning, and success.
- * Gathers and analyzes data to assess the effectiveness of planned educational experiences, opportunities, and activities aimed to promote Native Hawaiian student success.
- * Prepares reports including online submissions and budget allocations involving student engagement and success initiatives.
- * Creates and monitors tracking mechanisms to gather, tally, and summarize data on planned programs and other educational initiatives to evaluate the impact on Native Hawaiian student success.
- * Creates and develops a series of hybrid dynamic transdisciplinary educational experiences, workshops, and developmental opportunities grounded in ‘olelo, nohona, and ‘ike Hawai'i.
- * Executes student programming to increase transfer rates, on‑time degree completion, and use of ‘olelo, nohona, and ‘ike Hawai'i.
- Executes student programming for transfer students who are also parents, caregivers, and full‑time workers.
- Operates and monitors facilities and services dedicated to promoting Native Hawaiian wellness and healthy lifestyles, maintaining the condition of assigned equipment and facilities.
- Works with others to develop, interpret, implement, and revise as needed, policies and operational procedures governing Native Hawaiian success educational activities, programs, services.
- Works with others to manage budgets for student events and student success initiatives that promote college enrollment, engagement, and retention. This includes, but is not limited to, obtaining bids, preparing cost estimates, reconciling final bills and providing an event budget analysis and summary, and maintaining ledgers and tracking expenses for assigned accounts to ensure fiscal accountability and viability.
