Landscape Laborer
Job DutiesMowing, weed trimming, and raking or clean‑up of leaves with blowers; installation, pruning, and trimming of plants, trees, and shrubs from the ground; placing and tilling dirt, mulch, compost, and sod; general landscape labor using landscape equipment for installation and maintenance; loading and unloading materials and equipment; lifting up to 50 pounds.
CompensationNo experience required; on‑the‑job training provided; no education required.
Pay: $18.52–$19.50 per hour (wage range based on experience and performance). Overtime pay: $27.78–$29.25 per hour.
Work schedule:
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday with 1‑hour lunch; some overtime and weekends may be available but not guaranteed.
5 positions available for temporary, full‑time, peak‑load work.
Employment dates offered: 4/1/2026 – 11/30/2026.
Work LocationsJobsites located in Shawnee, Wabaunsee, Riley, Jackson, Jefferson, Pottawatomie, Douglas, and Osage Counties.
Transportation is provided to and from area worksites at employer’s expense from a centralized pick‑up location in the specified area.

Single work week for computing wages, paid bi‑weekly. Pay day deductions required by law.
Optional benefits for U.S. and H2B workers:
- Optional low‑cost housing ($275/mo, payroll deduction) for relocating workers only.
- Optional pay advances for relocating workers upon arrival.
- Vehicle may be provided, but not guaranteed, for relocating workers to run errands during time off; not to be taken outside city limits; workers pay for gas and insurance.
- Bi‑weekly deductions of about $137.50 for optional housing; repayment of pay advances deducted on following payday.
- If worker completes 50% of contract, employer reimburses transportation and subsistence from recruitment place to work place.
- Upon completion or earlier dismissal, employer pays reasonable return transportation and subsistence costs, except if worker does not return due to subsequent employment.
- Daily subsistence allowed $16.28 per day, up to $68 per day with receipts.
- H2B workers reimbursed by check for visa and related fees in first work week.
Employer provides all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job duties.
Employer guarantees a minimum of hours equal to at least __________ workdays in each 12‑week period of total employment.
