Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc. is a member owned electrical distribution cooperative dedicated to "Delivering Energy for Life" to our communities in western and central Kansas. We have an opening for a Wireless Tower Technician. This job is located in our Scott City, Kansas office. You will be empowered and exposed to situations that will utilize your basic knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction, and tower climbing skills.
You'll have on the job learning opportunities in multiple aspects of safely climbing communication towers and performing maintenance on them.

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and servicing of wireless equipment at tower locations across our territory.
Top Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work on roofs and towers up to 400 feet tall
- Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Able to listen and interpret what individuals are asking/telling you
- Able to keep files, schedules, and projects organized
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Work outside with exposure to varying temperature conditions
