Title:

Shop Laborer/Yard Laborer

Purpose:

Assist in identifying, sorting, and organizing various non-ferrous metals and organizing shop and yard areas.

Reports to:

Non-Ferrous Shop Foreman.

• Identify, sort, and organize various non-ferrous metals and other recyclables that come through (e.g., cardboard, batteries, computer hardware, catalytic converters).
• Keep work areas clean and organized; ensure floors are swept and the space is maintained.
• Operate baler; operate Skid Steer as needed and only when trained; operate forklift as needed and only when trained; operate various small tools; and operate a cutting torch as needed.
• Identify and sort metal by type and size, and follow work instructions at the beginning of each day; report completion of projects to the Shop Foreman.
• Work between Centerville and Prescott yards as needed; be able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Able to work weekends when scheduled.
• Assist in loading/unloading customer vehicles if needed. Work in hot/cold temperatures. Willingness to work where needed.
  Pass random drug screening tests throughout employment.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
