Overview
Production Helper (Temporary Full Time). This position is posted by Bettis Asphalt & Construction, Inc.
Location:
1800 NW Brickyard Road, Topeka, KS 66618;
Worksite: 1364 East College Drive, Colby, KS 67701.
- Assist production workers by performing duties requiring less skill, including supplying or holding materials or tools, cleaning work areas and equipment, and supporting diesel mechanics by holding tools and parts during repairs of construction equipment.
- Maintain and clean equipment and work areas.
- Travel daily to various job sites located in Kansas counties including Thomas, Sheridan, Graham, Rawlins, Cheyenne, Decatur, Sherman, Wallace, Logan, Gove, Trego, Norton, Greeley, Wichita, Scott, Lane, and Ness.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Some overtime and weekend work required. 8-hour workdays; shifts may vary from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
- Onsite safety and MSHA training provided by the employer.
- 40 hours per week;
Mon–Fri, 7:00 am–7:00 pm. Rate: $13.51/hr base, OT $20.27/hr bid weekly by payroll and paid biweekly by check. - Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance (deductions depend on plan selected). Optional employer-owned housing: $115.00 per week / $230.00 per pay period.
- Paid holidays. Merit-based raises available at employer discretion. Onsite training and tools provided to perform the job at no charge.
- Workers are responsible for transportation to the designated pickup location in Colby, KS. Transportation to and from worksites provided from Colby, KS.
- Housing and meals during travel provided as described above, with daily meals rate during travel noted in the document.
- No prior experience or education required. 40-hour workweek;
Mon–Fri; 7:00 am–7:00 pm. - Must be eligible to work in the USA and available for the entire work period. This job order is related to future H-2B labor certification.
- As applicable, VW visa and related fees will be considered; workers will be reimbursed for certain travel and subsistence costs per policy described by the employer and in compliance with program requirements.
- Employer will reimburse transportation and subsistence if the worker completes at least 50% of the work contract period; return transportation and subsistence costs paid upon completion or dismissal, subject to policy and circumstances. The most economical carrier will be used for reimbursements.
- Daily meals will be provided during travel at a rate of at least $16.28 per day up to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
