Job OverviewAs an Equipment Sales Representative, you will manage defined geographic territories, develop customer relationships, generate leads, and conduct successful auctions for farm equipment and real estate. Responsibilities- Develop and manage own geographic territory across the Central United States.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, ranchers, and landowners.
- Generate new business leads and nurture existing customer relationships.
- Conduct sales meetings, presentations, and auctions to maximize value for customers.
- Utilize Big Iron’s auction platform and technology tools to provide transparent solutions.
- Collaborate with the support team for seamless auction execution and administrative tasks.
- Track performance metrics and achieve sales targets within the defined commission structure.
- 2+ years of successful sales experience with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong preference for an agricultural industry background (equipment, commodities, farm services).
- Experience in rural markets, industrial sales, or relationship‑based industries is valued.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and manage existing customer relationships.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills within the agricultural community.
- Existing network or connections within agricultural markets preferred.
- Comfortable with technology platforms and CRM systems.
- Self‑motivated, strong work ethic, persistence, and resilience.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
- Willingness to invest time and effort in territory development.
