Job Overview

The position is for an experienced landscape laborer who will perform mowing, weed trimming, raking, and clean‑up of leaves. Duties also include installation, pruning, and trimming of plants, trees, and shrubs, placing and tilling dirt, mulch, compost, and sod. General landscape labor using equipment, loading/unloading materials, and lifting up to 50 pounds will be performed on local area jobsites with employer‑provided transportation.

Responsibilities
  • Mow lawns and trim weeds.
  • Rake and remove leaves with blowers.
  • Install, prune, and trim plants, trees, and shrubs.
  • Place and till dirt, mulch, compost, and sod.
  • Use landscape equipment for installation and maintenance.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Operate within employer‑provided centralized pick‑up location for transportation.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 months of related landscape labor experience.
  • No formal education required.
  • Ability to work with and model company methods and procedures with up to 3 peers.
Compensation & Working Hours

Base rate: $18.52 – $20.50/hr (based on experience and performance).
Overtime rate: $27.78 – $30.75/hr.

Hours:

40 hours per week, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday–Friday, 1‑hour lunch break. Some overtime and weekend work may be available but are not guaranteed.

Benefits & Deductions
  • Bi‑weekly pay, with a single workweek used to compute wages.
  • Optional low‑cost housing (≈$275/month) for relocating workers (deducted from payroll).
  • Optional pay advances available for relocating workers.
  • Employer responsible for all required legal deductions.
  • Transportation and subsistence reimbursement available at the end of the contract period or upon early dismissal.
  • Daily subsistence during travel (up to $68.00/day with receipts).
  • H2B workers reimbursed by check or visa and related fees.
Employment Details

Four temporary, full‑time, peak load positions available.
Employment period: 4/1/2026 – 11/30/2026.
Jobsites located in Shawnee, Wabaunsee, Riley, Jackson, Jefferson, Pottawatomie, Douglas, and Osage Counties.
