EXPERIENCE:

Clinical experience preferred.

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nursing.

REQ. CERT.:
Current LPN licensure in the state of Kansas, BLS.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team. This role is the clinical heartbeat of our facility, responsible for high-level patient triage, provider coordination, and ensuring the seamless flow of daily operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong EMR documentation skills, and is committed to the high standards of Rural Health Clinic (RHC) and OSHA compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Triage & Patient Care:
    Perform phone and in-office triage, assess patient needs, and coordinate care with providers. Administer injections and medications following the "Five Rights" protocol.
  • Lab & Diagnostics:
    Perform and document CLIA-waived tests (Glucometer, Strep, Flu, UA, etc.) and follow venipuncture protocols for specimen transport.
  • EMR & Documentation:
    Maintain precise patient records, including illness/injury assessments, ICD-10 coding, and ABN forms to ensure maximum reimbursement.
  • Pharmacy Coordination:
    Manage prescription refill requests, determining the need for provider intervention versus automatic renewals.
  • Clinic Operations:
    Assist with medical supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    Maintain strict adherence to OSHA regulations, hazardous waste disposal, and Rural Health Clinic protocols.

    Collaboration:

    Support front-desk scheduling when needed and coordinate nursing coverage to ensure consistent patient access.
