Job Overview

Find your calling at Mercy! Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

MERCY HOSPITAL South and Surrounding Communities – Department: GIG. Status: PRN/Per Diem/Flex/Float.

Shift: Various shifts available – 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts. Minimum 12 hours every 90 days; maximum 30 hours a week (Sun‑Sat).

Incentives:

$30/hour + variable shift incentive. W‑2 employee. Work Where and When You Want!

• Required
  
  Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Licensure:
  Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; consideration for comparable education, experience, and successful licensure. Must obtain and maintain a current LPN license in the hiring state.
• Experience:
  
  One year recent bedside LPN experience for Med‑Surg. Two years recent bedside LPN experience for ED, ICU, etc.
• Certifications:
  
  For Med‑Surg – BLS. For Critical Care – BLS, ACLS. For ED – BLS, ACLS, & PALS. IV certification required.
• Preferred:
  Epic experience.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Push, pull, or lift 50 lb; prolonged standing and walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, squat.
