Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• ACLS certification required

• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond to changes in patient condition

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
OR RN Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine physical, mental, and spiritual needs prior to surgery

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary surgical team

• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families

• Monitor and report changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment

• Maintain accurate and complete medical records in compliance with healthcare standards

• Participate in continuing education and uphold best practices in patient care

• Contribute to a positive and healthy workplace environment

• Fulfill on-call responsibilities as required
