• Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents, ensuring all resident rights are protected.
• Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
• Checking all residents daily to ensure prescribed treatment is properly administered and evaluating their physical and emotional status.
• Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.
• Implementing recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nurses.
• Administering professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, dressings/bandages, colostomy and drainage bags, specimen collection, etc., as established by policies and procedures.
• Completing all required record‑keeping forms/charts upon admission, discharge, transfer, etc., and filing in the resident’s chart or forwarding to the appropriate department.
• Giving and receiving nursing reports upon shift change.
• Investigating complaints and grievances and reporting orally/writtenly to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Presenting a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhering to policies and standards.
