Job Description

First Christian Church of Phillipsburg, KS is searching for a Full Time Minister. We are searching for a full time minister to join us providing leadership along with the elders. Our church, with a regular attendance of 125, is located in Northern Northwest Kansas at the crossroads of highways 183 and 36, halfway between Denver and Kansas City. The church is a growing congregation with a wide range of age from infants to our Senior members, including many families.

This minister role will include, but not limited to:

• Conduct religious services and ceremonies.
• Provide pastoral care and counseling to community members.
• Develop and deliver sermons and teachings.
• Organize and oversee community outreach programs.
• Plan and lead religious education programs.
• Collaborate with other religious leaders and organizations.
• Manage church or organizational administrative tasks.
• Represent and advocate for the community in public forums.
• Offer spiritual guidance and support to individuals and families.
• Lead prayer meetings and study groups.
• Coordinate special events and religious celebrations.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
• Participate in interfaith activities and dialogue.

Phillipsburg is a community on the grow with a thriving downtown area, award winning hotels, highly rated public schools and the recent addition of the United States Largest Wheat Gluten Plant. We have wonderful hunting and fishing opportunities, with five lakes in close proximity, a National Wildlife refuge and varying habitats. Game is abundant including Pheasant, Quail, Dove, Whitetail and Mule deer, Prairie Chicken, and Waterfowl.
