Cashco has an opening for a Certified Welder
.

Summary

The Certified Welder will perform various welding tasks to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal parts and structures in accordance with established safety and quality standards. This position requires proficiency in different welding techniques and a commitment to maintaining high production standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and/or other welding processes on various materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, to fabricates and repair components per project specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements, joint configurations, and material types.
  • Fabricate metal parts and components based on project specifications, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
  • Inspect welded joints and completed assemblies for structural integrity, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards; ensure compliance with welding codes and regulations (e.g., AWS, ASME).
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order; follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Work closely with other team members, including fabricators, machine operators, and quality control personnel, to ensure the timely completion of projects.
  • Identify and troubleshoot welding issues and defects in materials or techniques to minimize errors and rework.
  • Record work completed, including materials used, welding processes, and time spent on tasks; maintain accurate logs of all welding procedures and inspections.
Qualifications
  • Valid certification only provided by Cashco.
  • Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in a physically demanding environment, and be comfortable standing for extended periods.
  • Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and the ability to follow established protocols.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and quality in all work performed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Ability to identify issues quickly and propose solutions to ensure minimal downtime and rework.
Requirements

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, or reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to a specified weight (often 25–50 lbs).
  • Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for handling tools or materials.
  • Ability to operate machinery, equipment, or computers.
  • Occasional climbing of ladders or stairs.

Sensory Requirements

  • Good vision, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to hear and communicate clearly in a manufacturing or office environment.
  • Ability to work with or near loud noise (hearing protection may be required).

Work Conditions

  • Exposure to manufacturing floor environment (noise, dust, temperature variations).
  • May require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, or steel-toe shoes.
  • Working near moving mechanical parts or equipment.
  • Occasional exposure to chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles (with safety precautions in place).
  • Variable weather conditions if work requires indoor/outdoor movement.
