Cobalt KS Closed Molding Technician (RTM)
Job Title: Closed Mold/RTM Tech
Department: Small Parts
Reports To: Department Supervisor
FLSA Status: Hourly
Summary: Applies fiberglass and resin to gel coated small parts molds by performing the following duties.
- Move parts into position into the Small Parts RTM workstation.
- Prep parts in accordance with Cobalt standards.
- Select appropriate fiberglass kit according to part model. Lay out laminate eliminating air voids using specific hand tools.
- Trim excess material from mold using cutting tool.
- Seal mold using vacuum system.
- Mix catalyst into resin using the injection pump.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform in accordance with Cobalt’s safety policies and procedures.

- Education and/or
Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
Mathematical SkillsGeneral math skills required.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
