WhatYou’ll Do
As an Automation Technician you’ll be part of our manufacturing engineering located in Hesston, KS. You’ll get to:
- Program new weld jobs on robotic weld cells (≈10%)
- Make program adjustments to automated fabrication equipment (≈15%)
- Develop maintenance programs and perform or oversee preventative maintenance schedules (≈15%)
- Troubleshoot problems with programs/equipment; work closely with maintenance and equipment vendors as needed (≈15%)
- Monitor for corrective action and reduce downtime impacts (≈10%)
- Perform data‑driven projects and other duties as directed by Supervisor; may require leadership in project management (≈15%)
- Monitor machine efficiencies weekly (≈10%)
- Nesting jobs for lasers and programming for press brakes
- Commit to safety
- Identify problems and review related information to develop and implement solutions
- Handle multiple priorities
- Read and understand manufacturing drawings, including weld callouts and quality requirements
