The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing and painting transformer units. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards, and company policies are essential functions of this role.

• Review checklist and follow work order instructions to ensure compliance with specifications
• Assess units prior to painting and check for issues (defects, leaks, etc.), and upscale defect issues to the lead or supervisor if discovered
• Mix paint and ensure the viscosity is consistent with specifications
• Replace paint in pots/drums as needed
• Ensure paint guns are all in working order and spray pattern consistency is correct prior to painting the equipment
• Clean unit by air or tack cloth if needed
• Apply primer and paint as required to comply with quality expectations
• After primer and paint are complete, look over unit to ensure quality expectations are met
• If unit is disassembled, spray unit parts as required
• Once unit is complete, move to final assembly
• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), respirator, glove, safety glasses, etc.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation and area
• Other duties assigned as needed
