About the Role

As our Workforce Planning Coordinator
, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring Catholic Early EdCare services are staffed confidently, compliantly, and sustainably. You’ll lead end-to-end workforce planning and rostering activities, partnering closely with Service Leaders, Regional Managers and People & Culture colleagues to optimise staffing models and support high-quality service delivery.

In this hands‑on, organisation‑wide role, you’ll balance operational execution with strategic insight; using data, systems, and strong relationships to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time.

Responsibilities
  • Lead workforce planning and rostering across multiple services, ensuring compliance with ratios, awards, and legislative requirements
  • Establish, recruit, and manage a high-quality casual educator pool to support service continuity
  • Analyse workforce data, demand forecasts, and FTE requirements to inform strategic decision‑making
  • Coordinate casual and agency staffing to meet service needs while reducing agency reliance
  • Oversee and optimise workforce management systems and roster configuration
  • Coach and support Service Leaders to build capability in rostering best practice
About You

You’re a workforce planning or rostering professional who thrives in complex, multi‑site environments. You bring a strong balance of operational rigour and strategic thinking, and you enjoy working collaboratively to solve workforce challenges.

You’re confident using data and systems to drive decisions and can translate compliance and industrial requirements into practical, service‑friendly solutions.

Will bring:

  • Experience in workforce planning, rostering, or workforce coordination (ideally in education, healthcare, or community services)
  • Strong understanding of industrial instruments, compliance requirements, and educator‑to‑child ratios
  • Proven ability to analyse workforce data and present actionable insights
  • Experience managing casual pools and/or agency workforce arrangements
  • Confidence coaching and influencing leaders across multiple locations
  • Strong system capability (workforce management systems and Excel/data tools)
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
