Maintenance Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead second shift maintenance operations at a high-volume, USDA-regulated manufacturing facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and safety performance while supporting and developing maintenance supervisors and technicians.

Seeking a candidate who brings strong hands-on maintenance knowledge, proven supervisory experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support second shift maintenance supervisors and technicians to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Train, coach, and develop supervisors and hourly maintenance employees.
• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, ergonomic, USDA, SQF, and HACCP standards.
• Schedule and verify pre-operational inspections and equipment readiness prior to production start.
• Monitor equipment condition and ensure timely completion of repairs and work orders.
• Lead weekly maintenance and safety meetings, documenting progress and action plans.
• Fully utilize the CMMS to track maintenance activity, performance metrics, and reporting.
• Step in for hands-on maintenance support as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience; experience managing supervisors preferred.
• Experience working in USDA-regulated facilities.
• Working knowledge of SQF and HACCP requirements.
• Meat processing experience (poultry, beef, or pork) strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and maintenance systems
