Assistant Custodian at White City Schools

White City Schools is seeking an assistant custodian immediately. The Assistant Custodian is an important member of the school staff as he/she must continually strive to maintain and improve the physical environment in which learning takes place. This effort requires not only his/her assistance as directed by the Head Custodian and the Principal, but also the ability to see needs and correct them without specific direction.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the central office (after employment offer is made).
• Experience as a school custodian or the equivalent in custodial service in other institutions or firms.
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the basic techniques of electrical repair and maintenance, carpentry, and ground maintenance.
• Ability to manually lift a maximum of 60 pounds.
• Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing skills and job performance.
• Ability to understand chemical hazards.
• Experience in using a computer and various computer programs.
• Ability to maintain a neat and clean personal appearance.

Rural Vista, USD 481, is comprised of two K-12 schools, Hope Schools and White City Schools. Hope and White City high schools are 1:1, with Google Chrome Books. We currently offer $520 towards a single health plan through Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Hope and White City schools are in a cooperative agreement for all athletic teams including;
Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Track and Scholars Bowl. The Rural Vista Heat is a member of the Wheat State League. Both boys and girls teams have had tremendous success since the co-op began over 12 years ago, with multiple State tournament berths.
