- Graduate of an ACOTE‑accredited school of occupational therapy
- Computer literate and proficient in clinical documentation
- Basic internet navigation skills
- Valid certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Valid occupational therapist state license (where applicable)
- Rate range is an estimate and may vary based on skill set and location(s)
Provide occupational therapy (OT) and related services for patients while maintaining positive interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles of occupational therapy and Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines. Provide quality patient care, including screening, evaluation, development of treatment plans, discharge planning, supervision of assistants and rehab techs, and case management. Maintain professional conduct that represents Reliant’s commitment to quality and service in all interactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Optimize patient functionality by providing, directing, and/or overseeing occupational therapy
- Provide consultation and clinical supervision to COTAs
- Directly supervise COTAs and rehab techs during group and individual treatment, promoting efficient resource utilization and ongoing skill development in line with State Practice Acts, OBRA, and company policy
- Build a strong occupational therapy program
- Enhance clinical expertise and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists, and other staff, self‑study, and continuing education
- Maintain a valid state license and stay current with industry issues and healthcare environment changes
- Understand billing and treatment guidelines and deliver care with realistic goals and outcomes within guidelines
- Be compliant with infection control procedures and the facility’s environmental safety protocol
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports
