Citizens Health is recruiting an activities manager to work full-time at Prairie Senior, our long‑term care facility. The role involves planning and implementing activities programs for our residents.

Citizens Health is a community based, private, not‑for‑profit organization. It includes:
- Citizens Medical Center – a 25 bed critical access hospital
- Family Center for Health Care – an outpatient rural health clinic
- Prairie Senior – a skilled nursing facility
- Citizens Clubhouse – an onsite childcare center that cares for children 6 weeks to school age for our workforce
- Citizens Medical Equipment – our durable medical equipment business
- Palace Drug Store – our outpatient pharmacy

Days:
Sunday through Saturday
Hours:
8am through 5pm
Pay Range: dependent upon experience.
What You’ll Do- Assist in planning and implementing activities programs under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and/or Director of Nursing.
- Encourage and motivate residents to participate in recreational, religious, intellectual and occupational activities.
- Ensure timely completion of record keeping in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Adhere to departmental policies, quality assurance program, environmental and infection control standards.
- Provide input for resident assessments and care plans.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- CNA or willing to take the training. A Kansas Activity/Social Certificate or reciprocal state‑approved training is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with residents and the public.
- Ability to maintain quality control standards.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in all situations.
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions.
- Self‑starter who takes initiative, is open‑minded and a team player.
- Maintain a positive attitude with good energy.
- Create a positive, supportive working atmosphere.

Well‑lit, well‑ventilated facility and office environment with frequent interruptions and occasional stressful situations.
Typical Physical DemandsThe position requires extended periods of standing and ability to assist with transporting residents to activities. Must be capable of aiding residents with ADL’s.
