** About the role
** AGL has an exciting newly created opportunity for an
** Operations Coordinator
** to join our Hydro team based in
** Mount Beauty
** in
** North‑East Victoria.
** In this role, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the planning, coordination and execution of operations, outages and Permit to Work systems that support our Hydro sites and remote operations teams across the business.

** What you’ll be doing:
*** Managing the safe and efficient delivery of operational coordination across the Hydro Business Unit
* Governing and managing AGL Hydro’s centralised
** Permit to Work (PTW)
** system, including application review and approvals
* Coordinating outages, change requests and plant access activities to minimise operational impacts
* Supporting the ongoing management and improvement of assets in line with
** AGL’s HSE Management System
*** Performing remote monitoring of plant in relation to access and isolation requirements
* Coordinating and directing sequenced switching activities, including engagement with external agencies and networks
* Working closely with site teams, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure safe systems of work across ownership boundaries
** What you’ll bring:
*** Technical qualifications or relevant experience within heavy industry or power generation
* Experience with
** High Voltage switching operations
*** An understanding of water management and how it interacts with plant access and operations
* Experience in the energy sector, ideally hydro or gas power generation, and associated electrical, mechanical or hydraulic infrastructure
* Exposure to
** CMMS systems
** and electronic Permit to Work programs
* A collaborative, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to work across multiple teams and functions
* Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to implement both short‑ and long‑term work programs
* Understanding of relevant
** HSE legislation
** and safe systems of work
