The Department of Applied Health Sciences at Baker University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program beginning August 2026. The Exercise Science program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES).
Key Responsibilities- The primary responsibility for the Associate/Assistant Professor of Exercise Science includes teaching a range of undergraduate courses in the exercise science major.
- Strong candidates will maintain primary expertise in exercise science and/or subspecialties in kinesiology and exercise physiology. This position requires applicants that are dedicated to teaching in a small college setting with a 4/4 teaching load and committed to student-centered learning and student advising.
- A relevant terminal degree is required (PhD, DPT, EdD) in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or a related field
- A demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship.
- Post-doctoral or clinical experience is viewed as an advantage.
