Jobs for America's Graduates - Kansas is hiring a full‑time Career Specialist for Kingman High School in Kingman, Kansas. The role is focused on student success, teaching students to overcome obstacles to graduation while preparing them for career and college pathways.

About Us

JAG‑K partners with Kansas schools to help students facing various challenges succeed. We offer an elective class that provides academic and additional positive supports, ensuring students earn their high‑school diploma. With 121 programs in 54 districts, we serve more than 5,500 students, preparing them for post‑secondary education, military service, or the workforce through career exploration and soft‑skill instruction.

Work Schedule

Full‑time Monday‑through‑Friday during the school year with flexibility during the summer.

A Day in the Life

A Career Specialist identifies, recruits, and educates students who face barriers to graduation. The specialist helps students transition from school to college, military, or career pathways within the JAG model.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing positive relationships with 35 to 60 students using project‑based learning, trauma‑informed care, and employer engagement.
  • Delivering student‑centered programs and JAG activities such as career, civic, social, and service‑learning conferences.
  • Providing value‑added instruction, support, and advocacy to graduates and non‑graduates through follow‑up services.
  • Ensuring performance outcomes are met or exceeded.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with technology.
