Special Education Teacher – Instructional Supports

Goddard Public Schools Special Education Cooperative is seeking a World Class School Special Education Teacher for the  school year. Candidates interested in working in a collaborative and innovative environment with opportunities to develop their professional skills are encouraged to apply.

• Coordinate the development and implementation of students’ Individual Education Program (IEP).
• Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team and the special education evaluation process, attending special education meetings in support of student needs.
• Design and teach timely and accurate content and instructional activities aligned with the prescribed district curriculum and instructional practices.
• Utilize district and building-based initiatives when planning classroom instruction.
• Plan and implement effective lessons based on the student IEPs, using time, materials, and resources efficiently.
• Maintain student records, including attendance, grades, and progress reports.
• Efficiently use instructional time to ensure students are engaged.
• Implement a variety of instruction methods to address the varied learning characteristics of the students.
