Overview

Special Education Teacher for the  school year with Goddard Public Schools Special Education Cooperative. Candidates seeking a collaborative and innovative environment with opportunities to develop professional skills are encouraged to apply.

• Coordinate the development and implementation of the Individual Education Program (IEP).
• Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team, participate in the special education evaluation process, and attend special education meetings in support of student needs.
• Design and teach timely and accurate content and instructional activities aligned with the district curriculum and instructional practices.
• Utilize district and building-based initiatives when planning classroom instruction.
• Plan and implement effective lessons based on student IEPs, using time, materials, and resources efficiently.
• Maintain student records, including attendance, grades, and progress reports.
• Efficiently use instructional time to ensure student engagement.
• Implement a variety of instructional methods to address varied learning characteristics of the students.
