As a Guest Teacher, you will play a vital role in continuing the education while the educator is away. You will be responsible for delivering lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, adapting to different teaching styles to meet all students’ needs, and collaborating with school staff to ensure a smooth transition for students.

Substitutes are non‑contracted employees and work on an as‑needed basis. There is no set number of hours or days guaranteed as a substitute. Substitutes will only be called to work while Adams 12 Five Star Schools is in session. Substitutes must actively substitute to remain on the substitute list.

• Possess or ability to obtain a valid/appropriate Colorado Educator License, or possess a substitute teaching authorization.

• Entry Level Daily Rate: $145.00 – 1 or 3 year substitute authorizations – WITHOUT STEDI TRAINING
• Guest Teacher Daily Rate: $175.00 – 1 or 3 year substitute authorizations – WITH STEDI TRAINING
• Licensed Guest Teacher Daily Rate: $180.00 – Professional, Interim, Initial, or 5‑Year Substitute Licenses
• Guest Teacher Retiree Daily Rate: $190.00
• In‑Building Guest Teacher: $185.00
• Long Term Rate: $200.00
• All new certified substitutes that hold a 3‑year substitute license are recommended to take one online course through STEDI.org.
