Rural Vista - USD 481 is seeking a mathematics instructor to teach students in grades 8th‑12th at their school in White City, Kansas. The instructor will be responsible for Pre‑Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and a Precalculus course, with class sizes capped at 15 students.
Responsibilities- Teach the math courses listed above in a small‑class setting (maximum 15 students per class).
- Maintain a student‑to‑teacher ratio of 11:1 (or 10:1 for high‑school classes).
- Participate in district coaching opportunities and class sponsor ships.
- Attend the two‑year in‑house mentoring program for new teachers.
- Valid teaching license.
- References and transcripts provided with application.
- Strong commitment to student achievement in a small‑town setting.
- $520 toward a single health plan through Blue Cross & Blue Shield.
- 12 PTO days per year (no questions asked).
- 3 Professional Development days of your choice per year.
- Vision and dental insurance available.
- $50 per month 403(b) match.
Current Base Salary: $41,200.
