Position: Teacher - High Incidence Social Studies (MHS)
Location: Maize

Overview

The Maize High School is seeking a Special Education Teacher (high incidence endorsement) to teach Social Studies. Special education and content endorsements will be required. Candidates pursuing appropriate endorsements will be considered. Immediate opening.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high school Social Studies curriculum to students with high incidence disabilities.
  • Implement IEP goals and accommodations to support student learning.
  • Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, administrators, and support personnel.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data collection to monitor progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and related team processes as needed.
Qualifications
  • Special Education endorsement with high incidence eligibility required; content endorsement in Social Studies strongly preferred or pursuing.
  • Appropriate licensure/certification to teach high school Social Studies in Kansas.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration with staff.
